Conservation Status Berthold Lubetkin Residential Blocks

Priory Green Estate was built in the 1950s and now has a Conservation Area status.

This development was designed by the architect Berthold Lubetkin known for his pioneering work with concrete.

UKG worked with Vinci Facilities and their client Peabody to renovate and regenerate the unusually designed concrete components to the resident blocks throughout this estate.

Using Sika as our preferred concrete repair manufacturer we submitted a detailed proposal to repair and restore the concrete areas, whilst being considerate of the conservation requirements of this development.

Whilst undertaking remedial repairs to the concrete soffits of the communal balconies, UKG also had to ensure the topside was both waterproof and durable. Using Prokol Rocathaan 136T Pure Polyurea Hotspray, UKG were able to ensure both requirements were fully met.

The final finish effortlessly complements the architect’s vision for this housing estate.
